ALL IN-KIND DONATIONS for things like food that does not spoil, cleaning supplies, dental/hygiene products, school supplies, and Christmas support are accepted at our donation barrels. Please think about making a donation! It's a great way to teach the importance of giving!
Please make arrangements for your student to be picked up between 11:30 AM- Noon due to our Early Dismissal on Tuesday-Friday (December 16-19, 2025). High schoolers will be taking exams these days and middle school students will be completing their second quarter classwork. We will dismiss for the Winter Break and students will return to Crossroads on the regular schedule on January 6, 2026.

Today at Crossroads School, we hosted a special Art Enrichment group lesson titled “Peace, Paint, and Process.” We welcomed renowned artist and Hoover High School art instructor Ahmed Austin, who led students through a guided art project. Each student created their own unique piece to complete and take home by the end of the activity.
During the session, Brian Rodgers, our school counselor, shared five practical tips for self-regulation and stress management that students can apply in their everyday lives. This experience is designed to support both creative expression and emotional well-being.
At Crossroads School, our students participate in monthly group counseling sessions held every third Friday led by our Mental Health Counselor, focusing on important social and emotional skills such as stress reduction, self-regulation, and positive peer interactions.
We’re proud to partner with Hand in Paw, a local nonprofit whose mission is to improve human health and well-being through animal-assisted therapy. Their therapy teams join us each month, helping students feel calm, connected, and supported while they learn strategies to manage emotions and build resilience.
These sessions are a wonderful example of how we nurture both the hearts and minds of our students — with a little extra help from our furry friends! 🐕✨
